It’s Pothole Season Again!

Have you hit a few potholes lately? Potholes can really hurt your car’s alignment, steering, suspension, tires and wheels.

Here are a few ways to tell if the last pothole you hit caused some problems

How can You Tell if A Pothole Has Caused Damage?

  • Pulling in One Direction
If your car has a hard time staying straight without your help. It pulls to one side or the other. This is a good sign there may be an alignment problem. Proper wheel alignment will not only ensure safe driving, but it will help stretch the life of the tire.
  • Loss of Control
Can you feel your car bouncing more than normal on rough roads or bottoming-out on city streets. These are signs your steering and suspension may have suffered some damage.
  • Tire Damage
Do you have to keep putting air in your tire? Do you notice bulges on the sidewalls or dents in the rims?

What Can You Do If Your Car Is Damaged?

If you notice any of the above symptoms (your car pulling to one side or another, bouncing or riding lower than normal, or tire leakage) stop into Sam’s Service Center and have your car inspected. Driving around with a bad alignment, tire damage or suspension issues can lead to much more costly repairs if not taken care of not to mention the safety concerns
